The money

Full arch implant costs by country in 2026

Five countries, one material tier, per arch. Plus the travel maths that turns a headline price into what you will actually spend.

The headline savings on full-arch implant work abroad are real, and they are large enough that people fly across hemispheres for them. They are also quoted in a way that makes honest comparison almost impossible, because two clinics in two countries are rarely quoting the same product.

Here is the like-for-like picture: one arch, fixed, acrylic hybrid on a titanium bar, which is the entry tier everywhere.

Market estimate ranges as of 2026, compiled from published clinic pricing and public cost guides. Not quotes. Costa Rica is marked directional because corroborating published pricing is thinner than for the other four.

Why the ranges are so wide

Within any one country the spread is driven by four things, in roughly this order of impact:

  1. Bridge material. Acrylic hybrid versus monolithic zirconia can be a 40 to 80 percent difference on the prosthetic component alone.
  2. Whether the final prosthesis is included. A shocking number of headline prices cover the surgery and the temporary arch only.
  3. Preparatory work. Extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts and sedation are frequently quoted separately.
  4. Implant count and system. Six premium-brand implants is a different purchase from four generic ones.

The one thing to standardise before comparing: pick your material first. Then ask every clinic for the all-in price of that material, from consult to final prosthesis, in writing. Any quote that will not survive that request was never a real number.

Sticker price is not landed cost

A cheaper arch in a country that requires two long-haul trips can end up more expensive than a dearer arch you can reach in four hours. Model the whole thing:

  • Flights for however many trips your plan actually requires, which for a full-arch case is usually two and sometimes three.
  • Lodging, which across all trips typically runs two to three weeks in total.
  • A buffer for an unplanned return visit. A thousand dollars set aside is not pessimism, it is planning.
  • Currency spread. Bank wires and card payments abroad frequently carry 3 to 5 percent baked into the exchange rate, which on a $20,000 case is $600 to $1,000 of pure friction.

On that last point, comparing the rate you are offered against the mid-market rate is worth two minutes. Wise publishes the mid-market rate openly, which makes the spread visible. That is an affiliate link and we may earn a commission at no cost to you.

Where each destination actually sits

Mexico

Lowest friction for Americans by a wide margin. Border towns are drivable, which removes flight cost from the equation entirely and makes a return visit genuinely easy. The clinic market is enormous, which means both excellent operators and poor ones.

Colombia

Four to six hours from most US hubs, effectively the same time zone as US Eastern for much of the year, with a substantial implant-focused private market in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali. Prices sit close to Mexico’s with better flight access from the eastern half of the US. Three public registries let you verify a clinic yourself: REPS for the facility, ReTHUS for the individual dentist, and INVIMA for the implant device.

Costa Rica

Well-established medical tourism infrastructure and a short flight, but a smaller clinic market and prices closer to the middle of the pack. Published pricing is thinner than for the other destinations here, which is why we mark its range directional.

Türkiye

The lowest sticker prices in this comparison, and a very large clinic market serving European patients. The trade-off for North Americans is flight time and cost, which reshapes the landed-cost maths considerably once you account for two trips.

The part that is not about money

A full-arch case is not a transaction, it is a relationship that runs four to nine months and then continues indefinitely as maintenance. The clinical risk of good work done abroad is not meaningfully different. The logistical risk is.

Before you book anything, settle three things:

  • Get the implant brand, platform and reference numbers in writing at handover, so a dentist at home can service the work. Undocumented hardware is the single worst outcome in dental tourism.
  • Read the warranty for what it requires of you. Almost none of them oblige a dentist in your own country to fix anything free; most require you to return.
  • Find a local dentist willing to co-manage before you fly, not after something loosens.

Do that, and the numbers in the chart above become genuinely usable. Skip it, and the cheapest arch on the page can turn into the most expensive one you have ever bought.
