About

We are not a clinic, and we are not pretending to be neutral.

Two things you should know before you read anything else on this site: nobody here treats patients, and we do get paid when readers become patients. Here is exactly how that works.

Who is behind this

FullArchReplacement.com is published by Scout Theory LLC, operating out of Medellín, Colombia. We build independent, procedure-specific guides for people considering major dental and medical work, including work done abroad.

Being physically in Colombia matters to what we can honestly tell you. We visit clinics. We speak Spanish in the same time zone as the people answering the phone. We are not a call centre in another hemisphere reselling a directory listing.

How we make money

Three ways, all disclosed:

  • Clinic referral fees. When we introduce a reader to a partner clinic and that reader goes ahead with treatment, the clinic may pay us a referral fee. It does not change your price.
  • Affiliate links. Some outbound links, for example to currency transfer services, pay us a commission at no cost to you. These are labelled where they appear.
  • Domain and site sales. We occasionally sell properties in our network to practitioners.

What that means for you. Read this site the way you would read anything published by someone with a commercial interest: check the claims, check the registries, and get a second opinion. We have tried to write it so that doing exactly that is easy.

Editorial standards

The rules we hold ourselves to

Written down so you can hold us to them too. If you find us breaking one, email andy@colombiamedical.co and we will fix it.

No invented anything

No fabricated clinic names, surgeon names, statistics, case studies or testimonials. If we have not verified it, it does not go on the page.

Prices are ranges, never quotes

Every figure on this site is a market planning range compiled from published pricing and public cost guides, labelled with its year. Only a clinician who has scanned you can quote you.

Credentials cited precisely

JCI accredits hospitals, not standalone dental clinics, and we say so. ReTHUS verifies individual practitioners. REPS verifies facilities. INVIMA registers devices. We do not blur them together.

Historical claims dated

Colombia’s well-known health system ranking comes from the World Health Organization’s 2000 World Health Report. We always cite the year, because presenting a 2000 ranking as current would be misleading.

The downside stays in

Every page that recommends treatment abroad also explains the follow-up problem, the warranty problem and the undocumented-hardware problem. Selling by omission is still selling.

No medical advice

We explain procedures, costs and questions to ask. We do not diagnose, we do not recommend a treatment for your mouth, and we do not tell you to skip a clinician.

What we will not do

We will not tell you that travelling is right for you when your case does not suit it. Full-arch work involves months of adjustments, and some people — complex medical histories, no flexible travel time, no budget for a second trip, no local dentist willing to co-manage — are better served at home even at a much higher price.

We will also not put you in touch with a clinic that refuses to answer the ten questions on our due diligence list. That is the whole filter.
